Acceptable use
- Testing location-aware applications, websites, geofences, routes, and regional experiences.
- Quality assurance and reproducible product validation.
- Product screenshots, recordings, training, and demonstrations.
- Consented experiments or jokes on your own device where every affected person has agreed.
Prohibited use
Do not use PinShift to misrepresent attendance, deceive family or another person, evade parental or organizational controls, manipulate insurance or financial services, violate game or platform rules, facilitate stalking, access another person's device or account, or break any law or contract.
Do not attempt to use PinShift to bypass a passcode, Trust prompt, Developer Mode, Activation Lock, MDM, Gatekeeper, code signing, or another Apple or macOS restriction.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the device, test authorization, apps and services you exercise, coordinates and routes you select, third-party provider terms, and restoring normal location when the test ends. Location-sensitive apps can react to simulated coordinates; plan and supervise the test accordingly.
No Find My guarantee
PinShift cannot verify whether Find My or another Apple service adopted, cached, or displayed a simulated location. A completed developer-service command is not a guarantee about an Apple account or remote service.
Public download status
Only architectures marked available by the qualified release panel are public downloads. Local or unlisted development artifacts must not be redistributed as commercial builds. Every download remains subject to the signing, notarization, licensing, and qualification statements on the download status page.
Licenses and third-party software
The PinShift Tauri/frontend code is offered under the MIT License. The packaged Python bridge and distribution with pymobiledevice3 are GPL-3.0-or-later, with corresponding source, license text, and build information included. Other components retain their own licenses and notices.
Availability and changes
The software is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every iOS, macOS, device, app, or service release. Apple and upstream tooling can change. Material product or terms changes will be dated.
Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the software is provided “as is,” without warranties beyond rights that cannot legally be excluded. Do not use it in safety-critical, emergency, insurance, financial, attendance, legal, or other high-consequence decision systems.
