# PinShift

> Location simulation for iOS development, testing and demos.

PinShift is a local-first macOS application for simulating test coordinates and routes on an unlocked, trusted iPhone owned by the user or explicitly authorized for testing. It uses Apple developer-location services and does not bypass passcodes, Trust, Developer Mode, Activation Lock, MDM, Gatekeeper, or Apple restrictions.

## Essential facts

- Requires a Mac, USB, and an unlocked trusted iPhone the user owns or is authorized to test.
- Developer Mode may be required and PinShift does not bypass it.
- Modes: Fixed, Precision, Micro Route, and multi-stop Pro Route.
- No PinShift account, proprietary location backend, advertising tracker, or default telemetry.
- Favorites, recents, settings, and redacted activity remain local.
- Map, search, reverse-geocoding, routing, and missing developer-support requests may contact disclosed providers.
- Always use Stop and restore real location when a test ends.
- A failed clear remains potentially active and retains the restore action.
- PinShift cannot verify whether Find My changed.
- No qualified public DMG is listed. Local development artifacts are intentionally unlinked until the release manifest passes every required field and review gate.
